Sunday Oysters

SOUTHERN COOKING SUNDAY:  Hannah Glasse’s “ragoo” (ragout) of oysters can be served as a starter or as a main course. The combination of spices with fresh parsley creates a flavorsome dish. Oysters were so plentiful during the time of colonization that some streets were even paved with their shells. No doubt oysters were enjoyed at Taverns to celebrate Independence Day.
