Michie Tavern ca. 1784 - A Virginia Historic Landmark

1784 Pub | Mead Tasting

AN EVENING OF MEAD & CELTIC MUSIC

Thursday, March 5th – 5pm – 7pm
Join us for a very special evening as we welcome Thistlerock Mead Company — just five miles down the road in the heart of the Monticello AVA — for a honey and mead tasting led by John Kluge, CEO and meadmaker.

The evening will also feature live music from Scottish fiddler Colin MacLeod, whose ancient Celtic traditions feel right at home in Virginia’s oldest tavern.

Thistlerock’s Piedmont Wildflower is a traditional mead crafted from wildflower honey harvested right on Thistlerock Farm, with over two million individual pollination stops in every bottle. It is, simply put, the taste of this place.

Tasting from 5:00 – 7:00
Mead available by the glass in the 1784 Pub. Bottles available for take home purchase
